Man From Manila: The Tribute

The Philippine showbiz industry was surprised by the passing of one of its institutions, Master Rapper Francis Magalona. Also known as Kiko, Francis suffered from complications of leukemia and was suppose to undergo marrow transplant from her donating sister. The actor’s death was announced at Eat Bulaga where he is a mainstay host. Kiko was 44 and turning 45 this October 4. He left 8 kids (2 being step-kids) to her courageous wife Pia Arroyo-Magalona whom he met and married in 1985 through his friend Richard Gomez. They met in a disco house owned by the late film director Ishmael Bernal.

Kiko was a loyal man to his career and family as well. Unlike most of his batch mates and friends in the industry who have gone through broken marriages, he and his wife Pia had surpassed them all. His death was really unexpected but his family showed strong and intact in this hard time. A close friend and showbiz buddy, Vice-Mayor to Quezon City Herbert Bautista vowed to take care of the late master rapper kids until needed. Herbert is himself remained single all this time and this act is indeed humbling and stunning. All other friends and close showbiz buds extended help and aid in any way possible to Kiko’s bereaved family.

At Last

The newly sworn 44th President of the United States dances his first of the seven during the Neighborhood Ball with wife, Michelle. They danced sweetly in the tune of ‘At Last’ performed by Beyonce off-stage. The President is in white tie while the first lady graces a one-shoulder, floor-length shimmering white gown by New York designer Jason Wu. You could tell by the way they doted on each other how affectionate they are and what kind of unison they have. This ball they are attending is just one of the ten they pledge to go.

The President, before started dancing, had even asked the celebrity and supporter attendeed how good his wife looks. That was typically Obama, always showing affection publicly to his wife by words or by action. There was even a time when he pulled the first lady closer, wrapped her with his arms, and locked his fingers together at the small of her back. At that time, it seems to the audience that they are violating some intimate moment but decided it was a lovely sight. A moment later, the President cut loose to Stevie Wonder’s ‘Sign, Sealed, Delivered’, a song played in the two years of his campaign across the USA. This song was performed by Shakira, Mary J. Blige, Faith Hill, and Mariah Carey together with its real performer.

All these are happening while at the Commander in Chief Ball, Vice President Joe Biden is saluting the nation’s men and women in the army. He addressed all those present in the ball that he is not looking forward for his moment in the spotlight. What he meant is that he is not dreaming of standing in the dance floor for a minute of dancing with all the people’s eye riveted on him and his wife.

Guess who’s back!!

I am! Finally, WordPress gave me back the freedom to use my site after a month! Well, it was all my fault, I was supposed to follow the guidelines in publishing posts. But anyway, the good thing is that I already have my blog back. Now, I can again write and publish directly and without the ‘reviewing’ panel on my page. That was a real trouble! Imagine, I will write a post and after that, I cannot publish it directly! Instead of the publish button, a ‘review’ button is in place and I have to go through that. I really thought, I will forever lose this blog.

I just get it back and thanks to the many customer service people who patiently replied and helped me get my blog back. I cannot remember everyone but ANTHONY was the last one who made a suggestion and comment on how I can earn my blog back. Thank you, really! I hope you will continue helping other bloggers like me… THanks, thanks!

 

Now, that is sad

Early this morning, I woke up and immediately check my emails. And I didnt find what I was expect- the wordpress answer to my support issue. Late yesterday, my blog becomes inactive and that made me feel like–OMG! I really liked this domain and blog site and I hope that they wont terminate my account! So what I did was, I logged on to wordpress and to my account then click the support/ help button.Once again, i entered everything that is needed and send it to the administration. Well, good thing! They replied promptly!

I really do not want this account to go just like that. I think I want to host a domain but not this early, maybe later. I think I made the mistake of posting some paid posts on it, but I am willing to take it all off. I just cannot do it all at once so I am hoping that the admin will not just terminate it. Just give me some time please, and I am sure I will be able to take off all the paid posts.

Gee, I am to thank you of course should you let me have time for this issue. And please, once again, please do not terminate my account. I only need time to do whatever is needed to do.. Pleasee, pleaasseee, pleeaassseeee….
